Welcome to the new Images of Acadia
I began the Images of Acadia website back in 2007 after my second trip to photograph the national park, as a way of sharing my images with others who shared my passion for Acadia. Until now though, I was never happy with the website. The photos were too small and it was never easy to order prints if you were hoping to purchase a print. And because I wrote all the html code myself, it was a nightmare any time I wanted to update the pictures.
Today, I'm really pleased to unveil the new Images of Acadia. Open your browser out into FULL SCREEN to see some BIG pictures (though if you're not at your desk, the website is still mobile-friendly on your phone or tablet). And if you're interested in purchasing a print for your wall, there's now a quick and simple ordering process. New photos will be added on a regular basis.
I recently bought a new printer to be able to print my own photos, though the larger photos will still be printed at a professional lab. I'm also printing my photos on metal. It's a relatively new way of presenting prints, but the results are amazing. I recently sold several metal prints to a client for their new offices and they couldn't be happier. The prints are fused onto lightweight aluminum and are ready to hang without any additional framing needed. I'll be posting more about metal prints in a future post.
If you'd like to be notified when something new is added to the website, or when I'm having a print sale, add your name to the Images of Acadia newsletter (signup at the bottom of this page). I don't know how often I'll be updating it, but I promise not to fill your Inbox with too many emails.
If there's something you'd like to see added to the website, please let me know.
Mike
