Photo of the Week, Splashes of Color

It’s not hard to find color in Acadia in mid October. It’s literally everywhere. But it can be hard to find such a variety of color in one place like this. These trees are some of the most colorful I’ve ever photographed in almost fifteen years of photographing Autumn in Acadia.

As usual though, you have to time it right. Within a couple days, all the leaves had dropped and all that was left were the bare trees.

Timing is everything in Autumn.
