Print of the Week
A small un-named pond reflects all the colors of autumn in a quiet corner of Acadia.
Several years ago, I was up on Cadillac Mountain at sunrise and noticed a small pond down below, nestled in the woods. Intrigued, I decided to find that pond and hike out to it. All I had was a vague idea of where it might lie, but as I set out later that day, I came upon this pond... it wasn't the one I'd been seeking; it took me a few more years to find that, but I had discovered one of my (now) most favorite places in Acadia. The color here is often intense with pinks and purples joining the usual reds, yellows and oranges, and fog often sweeps down off the mountains to add some beautiful atmosphere when the conditions are right. For years I never saw anyone else here, but it's become more well known, and more and more photographers are discovering it. But I still often have the whole place to myself.
The goal of all my photography is to see each image in print. If you think an image looks good on Instagram or in a Facebook post, wait until you’ve seen it professionally printed on fine art paper. For this reason, each week I’m featuring a special print at a discounted price– often $100 off the regular price– for just one week only. This open edition print is made by me personally in my studio, on archival rag paper, using pigment-based inks rated to last a lifetime. Each print is then hand signed and shipped FREE to any address in the US (excluding Alaska and Hawaii). Unfortunately, because of high customs fees and import taxes, I cannot ship the Print of the Week to any address outside the US.
The image size is 14 inches on the longest side, with white borders bringing the paper size to 11x15 inches. The watermark at the bottom of the image will not be on your final print.
Your print will be shipped to you rolled in a tube. I recommend framing your print with a frame that fits your own decor and style. A 16x20 inch frame would fit the print perfectly, with the addition of a mat around the print, which is often included in when you purchase a frame. Also, any framing store would be able to cut a mat and frame the print for you.
